Chemical Solutions

The chemical industry is a key industrial sector and forms the basis for nearly all products. In this business area we bundle, for example, technologies for the fertilizer industry, the catalyst industry and sulfuric acid, together with other base chemicals.

Sulfuric acid

Over 110 years ago, Hugo Petersen laid the foundations for the production of sulfuric acid. Since 2005 a subsidiary of CAC bearing the name of the inventor –  HUGO PETERSEN GmbH – has been utilizing its own technology for oleum/sulfuric acid.

With its expertise in metallurgy and chemicals, HUGO PETERSEN offers an excellent basis for the drafting of customer-specific, optimal plant concepts.
Our subsidiary can refer to the largest number of sulfuric acid technologies worldwide in the following segments:

  • Dry catalysis
  • Wet catalysis
  • Petersen tower technology
  • Superox technology

Fertilizer industry

In the fertilizer and nitrogen processing industry CAC applies its expertise in the implementation of licensor and customer technologies. This includes plants for melamine, urea, ammonia and nitric acid.

Catalyst industry

Customer know-how is paramount in the catalyst industry. In close collaboration with our customers, we develop the basis for design of the plant that we plan, construct and commission.
